Okay, so it is at this point that my Kate journal is going to be taking off in a couple of directions. It kinda has already, but especially in FM there will be a noticeable departure from canon so I wanted to give a head's up on that. I've seen people get pretty much crucified for going a little outside the lines with their characterization and with trying AU things because I guess they didn't make it specific enough that that was their intention, so just so we're all clear, this is what I'm going for:

Theatrical Muse, aka TM

theatrical_muse: Canon. The Jack and Sawyer and I have all been in TM for about the same length of time, and at different times we've discussed maybe going AU. (Ginni and I threw The Great Jate AU Rebellion Fit of 2006) But we've all time and time again decided to stick to the canon for this comm. So as far as I can tell, TM!Kate will remain canon to the events of the show.

Fandom Muses, aka FM

fandom_muses: Now going AU. FM is it's own storyline. It's actually like a game within a muse community, and so there was actually an island plot where people from almost every fandom you can think of ended up stranded on the Lost island, which of course led to rescue. Ginni

tehgooddoctor and I have decided to write Jack and Kate post rescue, and off the island according to a fic she wrote. They will be married. They will have a child. It will be pretty far from known canon. And we're okay with that. If you don't like it, you're not being forced to read it. I'm sure not everyone agrees with everthing you do with your character, so we'd really rather not get bitched at when people read our fanon version of things and disagree. And I'm saying that with all due respect.

I have updated Kate's userinfo with this information so at any given time if you question my ~~sanity~~ characterization, you can reference the established storyline, be it canon or AU for whichever community of the prompt you question.
